HEALTH POLICY ADVISOR

United States Senator Patty Murray seeks a Health Policy Advisor to lead the health policy portfolio, including abortion, reproductive rights, public health, and health care. A successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing the Senator’s health care priorities within the Senate, including issues before the HELP Committee;
• Leading the Senator’s work on abortion and reproductive and sexual health initiatives, including coordinating with other offices on caucus-wide efforts;
• Staffing the Senator for committee hearings and markups and at meetings and events with Washington state-based and key national partners and stakeholders, pertaining to the policy portfolio; and
• Collaborating with other members of the Senator’s personal office staff and Appropriations Committee staff to advance her policy agenda.

This is not an entry-level position. Deep knowledge of the federal health policy landscape is required, and prior Congressional experience is strongly preferred.
